As a Technology Development Engineer for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China, you will be responsible for serving as a senior engineer with focus on technology development and evaluation for industrial robot centered digital products.

Your responsibilities
- Applying advanced technical knowledge and develop/modify/optimize/tune models for robots and peripheral devices in flexible automation to support customer OEE improvement and operation intelligence enhancement
- Integrating and configuring models and interfaces to create complete solutions to fulfill customers’ proposition
- Addressing the dynamic needs and unexpressed requirements and ensure the right pain points are handled with a proper problem-solving way
- Relating good knowledge of technical state-of-art and consider multiple aspects to identify specific solutions, developing prototypes and validating them in a systematic way to ensure quality and reliability
- Working closely with other disciplines and supporting existing products and projects within defined timelines and constraints
Your background
- Master’s degree in appropriate field of study, such as mechatronics, control, etc.
- Deep knowledge of robotics and flexible automation, and related sensing technologies
- Proven skills in scientific problem formulation, analytical mind with problem solving aptitude
- Strong communication skills with fluent English writing and speaking, and strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Open mind and keeping abreast on latest technology architecture trends through continuous learning
