As a Backend QA Tester, you will join the Backend Services team and ensure that the quality of our backend services meet the highest standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to identify, escalate and resolve quality issues, as well as develop and maintain quality metrics and reports.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement the QA strategy, policies, procedures, and standards for the backend services team.
- Work closely with the development and product management teams to understand product requirements and communicate changes
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports, and communicate quality status and progress to stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the QA processes, and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with customer support to identify, escalate and resolve quality issues reported by customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant technical ability
- At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or API testing
- Knowledge of API TEsting principles and best practices
- Proficiency in manual API Testing using Postman is a must
- Knowledge of writing pre-request scripts and tests for automated test runs with Postman, is a plus
- Familiarity with the Go programming language is not essential but is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in developing and implementing QA strategies, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus.
- Experience in the mobile gaming industry is a plus.
