Mechanical Planner - Manufacturing
Work location: Dawson Road, Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday
Working along side the production team and design engineers, we are seeking a self-driven mechanical planner to join our innovative team.
Being an R&D facility, we are looking for someone who is adaptable to evolving work scopes and who can react to changes quickly achieving results on tight schedules.
The successful candidate would have strong mechanical background prior to planning, this will form a key part of the role. Liaising directly with design engineers and the production team to assist with solutions in both design and materials sourcing to help drive schedule efficiencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Build weekly work order plans to align with project requirements and resources
- Identifying and Determining equipment and Resource requirements
- Identifying vendors and materials sourcing
- Raising of purchase orders, invoice receipting and order tracking
- Budget Tracking
- Monitoring material supplies and working with Procurement
- Establish positive working relationships with all parties involved
- Work closely with internal project teams to help develop project schedules and build materials and resource lists
- Managing internal customer expectations in terms of delivery time and Resources
- Review and seek information from internal and external stakeholders to ensure all scopes have the relevant information to execute the task to a high standard
- Tracking and assigning of planned preventative maintenance work orders associated with workshop machinery
Qualifications and skills required:
- Desirable: Tertiary qualification in accredited project controls certification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical or Mechanical Project Planner (essential) preferably within R&D and Manufacturing Environment
- Experience in procurement and materials tracking
- Strong communication skills, ability to interface and build relationships with external vendors, project and corporate stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite
- Intermediate skills working with SAP
- Experience with Primavera would be a bonus
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, and within a team
