  Erste Asset Management coordinates and is responsible for all asset management activities of Erste Group and is in charge of assets amounting to more than EUR 74 billion. More than 400 employees develop and manage investment solutions for our investors in 7 different countries. We launched the first environmental fund in Austria 20 years ago - at a time when the topic was still a niche. Today, we manage EUR 16 billion in sustainability (as of 30.06.2022) and place sustainability at the heart of our business activities.
• The Data Management department as a part of Operations division is responsible for data governance and thus the careful handling of data throughout the company. The core tasks include specialist data architecture, data modeling and data quality management. In this function, we serve as an interface between the business units and IT for all data requirements. We support our colleagues in Austria and CEE in specifying their business requirements and transferring them to IT in a structured manner. In addition, Data Management is responsible for license agreements with external data suppliers.
• Your Tasks

  • • Definition and implementation of EAM’s data management and data governance strategy and the strategic data priorities
    • Leadership of a small team of data management specialists
    • Management of EAM’s cross-divisional data management network
    • Definition and implementation of methodology, standards and guidelines for Business Metadata Management, especially Business Data Modelling and Data Quality Management
    • Harmonization and standardization of EAM Group and local CEE reportings to regulators as well as to customers and to the top management
    • Data vendors’ and licenses’ management
• Your Background

  • • Degree in finance, business, or related studies
    • At least 5 years of leadership experience
    • Experience in Data Management, Data Modelling and Business Intelligence
    • Strategic thinking
    • Customer orientation
    • Excellent communication skills in English
    • Experience in a financial industry is an advantage
    • Experience with ESG data is an advantage
