Rural Banking
The key functions of Rural Banking (RRB) are to contribute to the organic growth of HSBC in Mainland China by formulating and implementing the rural banking strategy; ensure all aspects of the rural banking business are managed robustly to achieve maximum profits commensurate with the best interest of the Group, with a vision to build the rural bank in chosen customer segments and geographies, delivering sustainable growth and profitability. Through our demonstrated business success, we will contribute to the development of Mainland China’s rural economy, institutions and people and act as a role model for other rural financial institutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
- Provide general support to business planning and management function of RRB;
- Lead the formulation of country strategic plan and annual business plans of rural banks;
- Drive network optimization agenda of rural banks by conducting annual performance analysis of distribution network, preparing annual outlet rollout plan, and developing business cases in line with the approved outlet rollout plan;
- Act as a key contact point at RRB CNQ to drive important strategic initiatives and projects to uplift business performance; arrange and prepare material for RRB wide events, senior management’s townhall, regulator visits, etc.;
- Optimize people strategy agenda by updating and consolidating annual objectives of Presidents, conducting quantitative assessment of Presidents, monthly collecting hiring requests for senior management’s approval, etc.;
- Lead RRB sales training center to arrange and deliver necessary training to front line staff of RRB and ensure the quality and effectiveness of training;
- Lead RRB sales training center to grant sales accreditation to qualified staff and conduct annual inspections of sales staff accreditation to enhance quality assurance management of RRB sales training;
- Other ad hoc assignments regarding business planning and management of RRB
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in business or related disciplines, master degree preferred
- 7-10 years relevant working experience in banking
- Strong analytical skills to generate insights and recommendations
- Excellent communication in Chinese and English, written and verbal; strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Self-motivated, independent and good team worker
